How to Create the Hair of your Manga

 

              Depending on the style, anime hair can be very complex. However, if you break it down into its basic components, the process of drawing anime hair becomes a little simpler.

              Like real hair, anime hair is composed of many strands. However, rather than drawing each individual strand, the hair is often drawn in various sized/shaped clumps, as shown here. These are some of the simplest forms of each hair style. Notice that in most cases, the outline is more curvy on the bottom of the hair clump. This is especially apparent on the top leftmost example; the lower line is curvier than the top line, giving the hair more depth and more of that anime-ish look. Sometimes this is highly exaggerated, and other times it is hardly noticable, but for most anime hair styles, each individual strand of hair will have this basic shape. 

             Once you know how to draw each strand/clump of hair, you can start putting them together to form more something that more resembles anime hair. The same similar shapes generally persist throughout many different hairstyles. Making one line curve out more than the other on each strand can really help to flesh it out.

            Another thing to keep in mind is that you can make the hair as detailed as you like; just keep adding more strands.

How to Create the feet of your Manga

                   Another part of the body i got trouble to make is the foot of my character. In this simple image shows how to create a simple foot manga sketch. Just like the hands it uses different shapes as guide to form the structure of the feet. The circle serves as the heels and the toe mound of the feet and the other serve as the shape of the entire foot. Easy and simple.

                  There are manga sketches characters wearing different foot wears. Its up to your creativity how to create the style and design of your desire footwear, either shoes,  slippers, or sandals.

How to Create the Hand of your Manga

                 In some of  my manga sketches i got troubles in making the hands. For me the hand is more complicated than the other parts of my manga sketches characters. But with the help of some tutorials i had to know how to do a simple but a perfect hand. For example on this image, there are circles, lines and polygon show. The circle serves as the joints of the hand. From the palm to its fingers. and the lines serves as the fingers and the polygon is the palm. If you done placing all the elements you can now add some more details o complete its real shape and form.

                 There are other manga sketches uses simple shapes. Like on this image, it shows the artist uses ovals and circles to create his hands. And he just added some more details to create his simple cartoon hand.

Manga Backgrounds

Introduction

                    In manga, a background does not only serve to provide atmosphere and make the more important elements look pretty but also tells the reader where an event is happening, what time it is and other small messages. Even emotional changes in a character need the background to match it so that the reader could feel it. Every manga sketches should have their own background to emphasize the environment of the action is.

Types of Backgrounds

                    With regards to settings, we can basically separate manga by modern realism, historic or fantasy. Backgrounds however, can be separated into cities and buildings, natural environment and abstract (meaning fantasy backgrounds).

                    Of course the last but not least, is the atmospheric type. It doesn't really express any location or passage of time, but uses patterns and differing depths of letratone use to create atmosphere.

How to Create the body of your Manga

 

        On this image shows how to create the body of a female character.A female body usually slim and smaller than for the male.To start you may use some basic shapes like polygons,ovals,circles,lines,cross or triangles serves as the frame for your characters body. Use these shapes as guides to create the body parts like arms,legs,hands,feet and head. It is very useful in making your own character because even though professionals is using these guides in their own manga sketches.

        There are also different ways to create an anime body depending on what position you like your character would be.In other manga sketches they use different ways to do that you should keep in mind that there are factors that your character is performing different pose and positions, just picture out what would be their appearance while doing those poses and positions.
